Water gymnastics

Inspired by my soccer weekend I went and bought a gym card, it's really time to start doing something. However, with aching joints and overall feeling like a 60 year old lady I thought that maybe water gymnastics would be the way to go. And what do you know, I felt just at home together with the old ladies and the one old man that was there :) Fun times!

Minigolf

It's been a very long time since I last played minigolf. I think I have a sort of love hate relationship to it...I like playing minigolf, I like doing stuff like that, but I also know it can drive me crazy mad when the ball rolls by the hole missing it with just a millimeter or so.
With the help of "beautiful weather" I was able to get Ayaka out for a round...and I brough a few beers with me just in case :) Anyway, super fun round of golf followed by a meal by the water, watching the half marathon runners swish by as we are downing our desserts...ah, yes, a good saturday!

1 day of soccer = 1 week of pain

My cousin asked me to join a soccer tournament last weekend. Soccer hasn't been on my schedule at all for a very long time, actually, to be honest any kind of training has been absent from my life for a little while now...so I was a bit skeptical towards this to say the least. But a bright sunny day outside, the promise of a great dinner afterwards, and my love for soccer convinced me and I got excited about it...the fact that I was gonna get to see my cousin run for the first time and on top of that try to kick a ball also made it hard to say no :)
As I got on the field I played the only way I know how to...which is to give 110% at all times. My mind seemed to think I was still as quick and in the same shape I used to be...well, let me just say I paid for that for about a week, hardly able to get out of bed because of my aching body...but no regrets, it's impossible for me to get on a field in a competition and just play around! It was all worth it anyway as we made it to the finals which meant we got to play at Råsunda (the swedish national stadium) in the swedish national team's real game outfit! We finished it all off with a big party at bromma airport together with all the teams. So, although sports might not be my cousin's forte, she's always fun and looks fabulous, and knows just the right places to be. Being served a great dinner, having free drinks all night, and some good entertainment made for a 3 am bed time...which in turn made it hard to get up to start work at 7 am. Luckily I only worked until noon and was probably still drunk as I left, which I'm sure was the only reason to why my muscles were still able to move.
Live a little, hurt a little, laugh a little...

Ready to play
in the coolest outfit ever

I finished the night off very full and a little bit drunk :)

Choir time!

Linda and I have joined a choir. A soul-choir with an absolutely wonderful choir leader. Every Monday I get to go and sing my little heart out, and then leave with a smile on my face. The lady that runs it is so energetic, so positive, so quirky, and extremely talented...and most important she makes us feel like superstars. December 14th is the final concert, so you better pencil that into your calendars.

A weekend with my boys

It was time for Linda and Micke to go to a wedding and get a fun night out without their two wonderful boys for once. So I took on the challenge and had the boys for the weekend.
I was lucky enough to have Ylva and Johan come visit me as well and we all went out to Ekerö to enjoy time out in the sun...so I did have plenty of help and it turned out to be a great day and evening. With a new dock being built there was a lot of exciting machines and things for Henry to look at. We also took the boat out for a ride to go tubing. It all went great and Henry was laughing out loud as Johan went flying off the ring. The ride did however end with the boat breaking down and Johan and I had to swim it in to the dock...not the easiest thing to do, but Henry thought it was quite the adventure as he and Ylva sat and cheered us on in the boat. An exciting and fun day that we finished off with a bbq.
Little Sam had me up three times during the night, and although I can't complain to much as he was back asleep after 10 min every time, it still made for a pretty tired Sara on the Sunday. As I dropped them off at home around 4pm on the Sunday however, I realized that I was still probably in better shape than some others :) but from what I could understand it was a fun wedding. And I was happy to have had the weekend with the boys...I am such a lucky auntie.

Sam chillin at my place

Wanting to join in on the fun train track building

but Henry wasn't very fond of that idea :)
